Rob McIntosh, Senior Manager, Operations
Rob joined FTS in July 2013, after retiring from the United States Air Force, as a trainer and was promoted to Senior Manager of Operations in 2026. He is a graduate of Park University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Management & Logistics. He has held several positions throughout his career in safety, training and management that directly relate to his current role, such as: Facility Manager, Safety Manager, HazMat Site Manager, Forklift Safety Trainer, Operational Risk Management Instructor, Unit Logistics Manager, Organizational Training Manager, Unit First Sergeant, and Branch Superintendent. Since joining FTS, he has trained thousands of operators and trainers in the safe use and governance of Powered Industrial Trucks and Mobile Elevated Work Platforms. He has attended specialized training classes related to manufacturing and proper operation, safety and investigations. He has conducted hundreds of safety audits throughout his career, has served as an expert witness in Federal and State forklift cases, served as a consultant and has conducted post-accident/incident investigations.
Rob loves his job and the opportunities we have every day to prevent injuries and save lives. When not working, he is most likely outside smoking meat, camping or spending time with family and friends.
David Hoover, Major Account Manager
A graduate of Miami University, David founded Forklift Training Systems (FTS) in 1998, after entering the material handling world in 1991. His experiences working for a forklift dealership in aftermarket sales, new equipment sales and major accounts helped him gain knowledge of how safety training should be accomplished and how forklift fleets should be managed. In 2026, David transitioned from company president to Major Account Manager and now handles the needs of FTS’ largest customers.
David has trained many thousands of forklift and MEWP operators and trainers. He was served an authorized trainer for OSHA 10 & 30 hour general industry outreach classes. David has attended many specialized training classes, including factory sponsored training with manufacturers such as Clark and JLG. He has conducted hundreds of material handling safety audits and participated in many forklift accident investigations. David serves as an expert witness in Federal and State cases involving serious injuries and deaths on forklifts.
David loves his job and has a passion for trying to find new and creative ways to convince people to work safely for themselves and their families. David splits his time between Ohio and the Florida Keys. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, scuba diving, boating and pickleball.
Tom Plunkett, Senior Telematic Consultant
Tom joined FTS in July 2024. Tom’s background in business development began with the founding of his first business in 1986, CompuCare Inc.; which developed and sold custom software for the airfreight, legal, police, fire and EMS markets. Tom’s other experiences include 14 years with ShockWatch/TotalTrax and most recently founding Telematic Consultants, assisting companies in with the implementation of telemetry systems. Tom has continued to refine his skills in strategic planning, marketing, and operations with Forklift Training Systems. He brings these critical skills to the table with one purpose — to make your telematic systems implementation a success. In his free time, Tom enjoys golfing and travel.
Ben Reiss, Sales Operation Specialist
Ben joined the FTS team in March 2025 in our telemetry and warning systems division. Ben has an associate’s degree in computer technology from Ohio University and a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from SNHU. Ben has a background in project management in hazardous material abatement and construction.
Since joining FTS, he has made contributions to many areas of our telemetry division including implementation of devices, scheduling installs, sales, project management, customer support, quoting, product exploration and developing marketing material. Ben is passionate about technology and how it relates to safety and cost savings in the workplace, as well as how it can translate into the prevention of serious injuries and fatalities. Outside of work, Ben enjoys cruising the backroads in his Mustang, spending time with family and friends, exploring his faith and playing the guitar.
Tom Taylor, Senior Safety Trainer
Tom joined FTS as a trainer in May 2012 after running his own safety consulting business. Tom has worked for several large, well known manufacturing and construction companies over the years in a variety of positions, including site safety manager.
Having worked on the shop floor for many years, Tom has a special way of connecting with people in his classes and communicating critical safety messages to them. Tom has a degree in safety from WVU and is an authorized OSHA 501 outreach instructor for 10/30 general industry classes. He is also an emergency incident commander, a competent person in fall protection and teaches popular courses such as hazard communication and confined space entry.
Tom has audited hundreds of facilities over his career and has participated in a number of accident investigations, including fatalities. He has driven and trained on all seven classes of forklifts and both types of aerial work platforms. He is an avid outdoorsman, hunter and fisherman and loves spending time with his kids and wife at their campground by the river.
Brian Colburn, Senior Safety Trainer
Brian joined the FTS family in November 2014. He was born and raised in Central Ohio. He has worked in a number of industries including GPS mapping, industrial staffing and material handling. Brian worked to help market training for our company during his tenure at a successful local forklift dealership. While in the material handling industry, Brian sold forklifts and related equipment and also dealt in aftermarket support, such as service, parts and training.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his son, Lucas, and longtime girlfriend, Susie. He enjoys attending Lucas’ sporting events, camping, hiking the outdoors and motorcycling.
Victor Roush II, Senior Safety Trainer
Vic joined FTS in February 2023. He attended Ohio University and has been employed in a variety of industries over the years, including sales, management and construction equipment. He has worked as a technician and parts manager on all types of forklifts and mobile elevating work platforms for many years. He oversaw multiple locations, leading a team of technicians with over 400 pieces of mobile equipment. In his free time, he likes spending time with family, playing guitar and is an avid history buff.
Don Stone, Safety Trainer
Don joined FTS in July 2022. He is a graduate of Cleveland State University with a bachelor’s degree in business-Operations Management. Don worked as a supervisor in the automotive stamping and aerospace forging industries for many years. He was involved in both safety and employee training during those years. Don has been married for 40+ years, he has three children and five grandchildren. He enjoys spending time with his grandkids in his spare time.
Saif Hafeez, Senior Safety Trainer
Saif joined the company in 2022 and has taught many courses including Forklift and MEWP operator and trainer training and yard spotter operator training. Saif currently handles training in the Central and Southern Ohio regions. He is a Cleveland native with over 20 years of instructor and training experience. He graduated from Ohio University and currently resides with his wife and children in Columbus, Ohio. Starting his career as a driver’s education instructor, then an English as a Second Language (ESL) instructor, Saif found his true passion as a forklift trainer at a major online retailer. This experience quickly turned him into a qualified forklift safety trainer and led him to work for FTS.
Corey Johnson, Senior Safety Trainer
Corey brings extensive experience in workplace safety and compliance, specializing in forklift operation and industrial training programs. Known for his enthusiastic and engaging style, Corey delivers material in a creative way that brings a fresh perspective to safety. His goal is to make every session informative, interactive, and memorable while helping organizations improve safety and reduce risk.
Outside of work, Corey enjoys spending time with family, visiting local coffee shops, bicycling, video production and is a motorcycle enthusiast.
Jeremy Wilson, Senior Safety Trainer
Jeremy grew up in upstate New York and moved to Cleveland, Ohio in 2008. He joined the company in 2020 but has been driving different material handling equipment for nearly three decades. He is a veteran of the United States Navy. In his free time, he enjoys spending with his family, cheering on the Michigan Wolverines and playing paintball.
Madison DiNardo, Business Development Representative
Madison joined FTS in January 2025. She helps companies create safer, more efficient workplaces through expert training solutions. In her role at Forklift Training Systems, she works with businesses to implement OSHA-compliant operator training and train-the-trainer programs tailored to their needs.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University and her MBA from Western Governors University, combining business expertise with a passion for building strong client relationships. Outside of work, Madison is an avid reader, finishing over 40 books a year, and makes time to meditate daily. She also enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with her two cats.
Jessica Hoover, Office Manager
Jessica joined Forklift Training Systems in December 2000 as a part-time Office Assistant to help her brother-in-law, David Hoover. Over the years, Jessica mastered every task given to her and was promoted to Office Manager. She currently handles our customer paperwork, accounting, internet product sales and works closely with all our trainers in the field. She is the driving force behind the high efficiency in our office.
She coaches high school track and field and cross country, as well as being an avid runner. In her free time, she enjoys camping and spending time with her family.
Siarra Hoover, Administrative Assistant
Siarra joined the team in January 2021, helping with general office work while going to college. Currently, she is processing customer operator and trainer follow-up paperwork in addition to previous duties. She recently graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with a degree in Special Education and Psychology and is working full-time as an intervention specialist. She also coaches cross country, swimming and track; she enjoys running, reading, and hanging out with friends and family in her free time.

Beth Curry, Customer Relations Manager
Beth joined Forklift Training Systems in 2022 after 30+ years in the healthcare industry. She runs a craft business and enjoys hiking and jet skiing with her husband Bryan. She has two daughters and four grandchildren, along with a border collie and four cats!
